A portion of the proceeds of this event will go to The Well Woman Coalition to provide post-mastectomy surgical bras for women of color.
Meet Our Speakers:
Alejandra Campoverdi is an advocate for women's health, a senior advocacy and communications strategist, former White House aide to President Obama, former media executive, registered holistic cancer specialist, and a BRCA2 mutation carrier. She is the founder of The Well Woman Coalition, an initiative empowering women of color to have agency over their own health and healing through awareness, education, and advocacy. Alejandra also founded LATINX & BRCA in partnership with Penn Medicine’s Basser Center for BRCA, which is the first awareness campaign on the BRCA gene mutation that targets Latinos and offers Spanish-language educational materials.
Ted McDonald is an endurance athlete, wellness expert, and modern day adventurer. He owns 5 point yoga, Malibu's premiere yoga studio, Adventure Yoga Retreats, a boutique adventure travel company, and most recently he launched TeamWRx, a corporate wellness company that brings together the latest science, newest technology, and ancient wisdom, to change the lives of individuals within organizations.
Corie Tappin, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. is the founder and owner of SoulSpace Malibu, a specialized wellness center in Malibu, CA. She is a Board-certified Physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture who treats a wide variety of health issues, including pain management, women's health & wellness, addiction, stress, and depression.
